About us

How did we start, where are we now, and where are we heading.

Who are we?

REC is a robotic club  established in April 2019 at Universiti Malaya. The
community is now led by a group of engineering students who
aim at fostering a platform for engineering students to expand
their interests and skills such as in robot designing, programming,
complex thinking skills and teamwork, hoping to be more inclusive
of different engineering fields in the future.

Founder

Robotics Engineering Community (REC) was founded by Cheng Wei Heng, as well as the first president of REC in 2019.

To create a platform for students to discover and inculcate useful technical and soft skills

Our Vision


Aims to be a robotics community with close engagement to companies and professionals to showcase and discover talents in students

Exposure to latest technology in robotics

Able to perform simulation using software such as TinkerCAD to plan and model a project

Gain hands-on experience through Robocon Malaysia such as soldering, wiring and developing robot mechanism

Promote teamwork and strategic thinking in student community
